Compulsory Secondary School (public). The school is in San Sebastian, very close to the border with France. There are 43 teachers and 330 students. Our language model is “D”, that is to say, education through the medium of Basque language, but for other language classes; Spanish, English and French. Our main goal is to promote the use of Basque language, but for some years now, we have been introducing several measures in order to promote multilingualism, the use and standararization of the four languages we teach. We are working on some eTwinning projects, several cultural linguistic exchanges with students (with France and Galicia) and introducing activities in English language in other subjects. The school also promotes collaborative learning and interdisciplinarity. In school year 2016 2017, we are taking part in 5 eTwinning projects with several European countries (in English, French and Spanish language) and in other local, national and international projects. At a local level, we are taking part in “HilHERRIbizi” project (with the aim of approaching the cemetery to our day-to-day life) sponsored by Tabakalera Contemporary Art Museum (within the frame of Donostia 2016, European Capital of Culture), at a national level “Bake hari izpiak” (Peace Strands) about historical memory and an exchange with Galicia with a cultural aim (traditions, minority languages, culture, historical patrimony, etc., and at an international level a cultural-linguistic exchange with “Lycée Evariste Galois” in Sartrouville, France. We have also been awarded 2016-1-ES01-KA101-024264 grant. The socio-economic level of families is medium high.
